Some Information:

My name is Kimi. Yes, that is my real name. It isn't a name I simply chose for IMVU. I am 22 years old despite what my token suggests. I am married and have been for several years now. I also have a daughter, who contrary to popular belief, is not the reason I got married. I work from home. IMVU is my family's 3rd source of income. I enjoy the work I do here.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What head are you wearing?
A: I get asked this literally every day. I am wearing one of the following in the majority of my catalog pictures - V4NY's Prada, V4NY's Elite, or IMVU's Head 4. Any other heads I may be wearing, I don't plan on telling you until I get sick of using it on my avatar personally. Sorry.

Q: What skin is that?
A: No matter which skin it is, I don't plan on telling you (with the exception of those found in my catalog). I don't keep it to myself to deter customers from buying from others. I do it because it gets old being copied - hence why I change my "default look" so often.

Q: How do you make hair?
A: I read a bunch of tutorials all over IMVU. Check out the Texturing forums. You are bound to find a lot of useful information there. I don't follow any of the techniques I found there. I made them up - which is why my textures are so special. No, I don't plan on telling you. That would be silly.

Q: Why hair? and why so much of it?
A: Simple - I like it. I think hair is fun to do. It's a lot of work to stay on top of the latest styles and it can be a challenge. I think that's the part I like the most. Why so much of it? Because I do 15 colors per style right now. That's a heck of a lot of hair!

Q: Your catalog images have "Pro" on them. What is that? What makes you a "Pro"?
A: I wish I had a better answer for this. The red "Pro" banner around my catalog images means that by the new standards set forth by IMVU, I am considered a "Pro"ficiant developer. I am currently Tier 6 and have worked very hard to make it there. I am by no stretch of the imagination as talented as the true Pro devs - developers who earned the real Pro status prior to the creation and implementation of the Tiers system. However, I am pretty good. ;) lol

Q: What does it mean when you say your clothes are "MCG Compliant"?
A: All of my clothing meets the Minimum Coverage Guide (MCG). It is a skin created by IMVU that shows how low cut a clothing item may be in the chest or butt area. If a clothing item does not comply with the coverage guide (meaning it "shows red pixels"), the clothing belongs in the Access Pass (AP) section of the catalog. All of my clothing passes the test.

Q: You must make a lot of money!
A: Okay, not so much a question, but it requires an honest answer. As far as credits go, I do make a decent amount - enough to more than cover my shopping and deriving habits. That being said, every 100k I make is only about $40 in my pocket once I sell them. That's really not a lot of money. I also earn less when customers use Promotion Credits ("promos" aka "predits"). Developers get one Dev Token when a customers purchased with these Promotional Credits. One Dev Token is worth 10 credits and can ONLY be used to submit new products or purchase shout outs. So if you spend Promo Credits on a developer's 1,000cr item, they get one dev token. That sucks, doesn't it?

Q: Why are you always DND!?
A: Because if I'm not, I get swarmed with underage users. I do not make a habit of chatting in the client with children. I am simply not comfortable with it. I accept all friend requests and I don't mind responding to the messages of minors on my home page. But since I cannot be sure of who I am speaking to or the parental involvement of a minor's online activities, I choose to not chat with minors. Furthermore, I get a lot of weirdos when I take off DND. *Shudders*

Q: What is "Bling" and how can I get yours?
A: The term "Bling" refers to the widget badges. They are normally 20x20 pixel square almost sticker like badges. You can collect them from others for free and display them in the little widget badge holder next to your avatar picture. To turn on the feature, go here: Avatar Widget Display. I like to use "Mixed Big and Little". You can find the bling you have collected in your Account Settings once you have the feature turned on. You can turn the feature off at any time and the badges you have displayed will still show for others using the feature. To collect mine ( & ) you merely need to ask! While the badges are free to collect, they cost 100k (90k for VIP) per 20x20 square to create!
